Helux Environmental uses the latest technology to accurately detect underground utilities.
Utilizing ground penetrating radar (GPR) and electromagnetic (EM) detection we can detect metal, plastic and concrete lines as well as USTs up to a depth of fifteen feet below surface.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
GPR is a non-destructive method of detecting underground lines and storage tanks. this is done by transmitting radio frequencies into the ground and having the reflection bounce back. our technicians are trained to read and analyze the GPR maps and provide you with this information.
Electromagnetic (EM) Detection
EM utility locators are used to trace metallic pipes and utility cables by transmitting a radio frequency EM field that induces secondary fields in nearby metallic pipes and cables. For more accurate description of the utilities, the EM transmitter can also be directly connected to a target line.
